A little change of plans! Duke Farms will be closed to the public for the entire day due to a special members-only event. Since most of us aren't park members. We've rescheduled our outing to Saturday, November 14th@ 10:45am. All other details remain the same!

Let’s meet and enjoy the outdoors. This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect, unwind, and embrace the serenity of Duke Farms. The sights include: a manmade waterfall (off for the season), meditation field, Orchid House, 19th Century Carriage House, Watch Tower and a Sculpture Garden amid nature’s beauty that comes together to create a tranquil escape from our busy lives. Estimate length of walk: 2.5 flat easy miles on paved roads.

Whether you're a seasoned walker or simply looking to enjoy the outdoors, the trails at Duke Farms are suitable for all levels of fitness. Duke Farms has strict group policies about the number of people that can visit at one time. Please RSVP only if you are confident you will be attending. If anyone can help lead another walk please let me know so we can accommodate as many people as we can - I'd really appreciate it, thank you!

The cafe in the visitors building (currently closed) is supposed to reopen a week before our walk. We can grab a coffee/lunch there as we regroup to go on with our day. They have pretty good food. Much of the food is grown onsite or locally sourced with light lunch offerings (e.g., sandwiches, salads, bakery treats, etc.). No outside food is permitted.

Here's a chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world during the fall season while enjoying the company of like-minded women.
