Social Sauna ($20/person for 1 hour, 6 people Max, Cross-posted Event)

I love Social Saunas.
Set at ~175°F, it's going to be hot. Sitting on the top bench, if someone puts a scoop of water on the dragon egg heater, I feel transported to a different world. Breathing in that hot air, it could be a tropical vacation. Contrast that feeling with looking out at Elliot Bay in the cold dreary Seattle late fall weather. It's perfect!

I found a deal for a sauna that they put on the rooftop of a business. It costs $20/person and the limit is 6 people. Because it's a small group and I want to be aware and inclusive of women, 3 spots will be reserved for women.

A social sauna is about ritual, relaxation, and wellness. Quiet conversation may take place, or folks can choose to just silently meditate. Everyone comes looking for something a little different. Take a Cold shower between sauna sessions or cold plunge if you'd like.

For those that love it, enough said. For those that have never tried it, I recommend it highly. I usually pay more and enjoy hot/cold contrast therapy for 2+hours, but this is a chance to dip your feet into it for $20 and because it's private, you just have to share it with your meetup friends. WHAT TO BRING: Swimwear or active wear that you can sweat and take cold showers and a towel. There are changing rooms at the Sauna.

I will contact you when you're on the waitlist to Venmo me $20 to be taken off of the waitlist. If you cancel and someone else is able to take your spot, your money will be refunded. If you cancel and someone else does not take your spot, your money will not be refunded. Please do not sign up unless you are committed to showing up.
