🎃!! THIS SESSION WILL EXCEPTIONALLY BE HELD ON SATURDAY!!🎃
"What does it mean for things and people to be good or bad?
Is something right or wrong because we believe it is, or because the world around us says so?
Can a wrong thing be morally right in a given circumstance?
This session is about those moments when we, perhaps, change our minds."
Hi everyone, in this session we'll be exploring books that challange the idea do right and wrong.
Books that made us question what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad: stories where we sympathized with someone we shouldn't have, where a choice felt impossible to judge, or where the moral rules of another time or place challenged our own.
This is a themed session, so you can bring a book that connects to the theme in any way. It could be a story about a difficult choice, a morally grey character, a society with very different values, or a book that simply changed your mind.
As always, there's no specific required reading, so feel free to interpret the theme however you like! 📖 Feel free to bring a physical copy of your book for our tradition of a group photo! 📚
P.S. This is a small book club, and your absence can make a big difference! Please sign up only if you really plan to make it, and cancel well in advance if your plans change so that others will have a chance to join as well. Thank you~ 🎃
