RUTA A COTOS Y VALLE DE LOZOYA // TREKK TO COTOS & VALLE DE LOZOYA

Este sábado haremos una preciosa ruta circular por la parte alta del valle del Lozoya, comenzando desde el Puerto de Cotos y los mas aventureros se podrán bañar a mitad de ruta en el rio Lozoya!

Seguiremos por la pista de la parte Alta de Lozoya hasta llegar a otro pequeño parking para después continuar bajando hasta el río Lozoya entre la sombra de los árboles de pinos, álamos, acebos, abedules... Seguiremos por la preciosa vereda del río para admirar unas cascadas y un abedul centenario. Después damos la vuelta y empezamos a subir por el otro lado del río y contemplar varias pozas y sus aguas cristalinas. Ya más arriba, nos alejamos un poco del río para disfrutar de impresionantes vistas y las cumbres de la Cuerda Larga y Peñalara, hasta llegar de nuevo al Puerto de Cotos.

En esta época del año, el río fluye con abundancia, formando cascadas y chorreras que acompañan nuestro recorrido, haciendo de esta aventura una experiencia llena de naturaleza y encanto. Oportunidad para conectar con la naturaleza y compartir una gran experiencia en buena compañía.

Despues para celebrar la ruta nos tomaremos unas merecidas cervezas en la famosa cantina de Cotos!!. :-)

Duración de ruta: 4,5 h.

SE ACONSEJA TRAER: Botas de montaña, ropa de Otoño y/o Invierno, crema de sol, chubasquero. También 1 litro de agua y algo ligero de comer (zumo, frutos secos, fruta, chocolate..) y un bocadillo para la hora de la comida.

\\Hora y lugar de salida\\ : Iremos los que quieran en autobús público conmigo. Gratuito para los portadores de abono transporte C2 de la comunidad de Madrid, o 1,80 € si sacamos un bono de 10 viajes entre los que asistimos a la ruta. El autobús sale del intercambiador de Plaza Castilla. Los que tengan coche o quieran compartir gasolina, con el propio conductor en su propio vehículo, quedando en un segundo punto. Para todo esto nos organizamos tod@s por whatsapp:

1. En Autobus: Quedaremos a las 08:45 am en la estación del intercambiador de Moncloa en la fila del autobús 691.
2. Si vais en coche: poneros en contacto por el grupo de whatsapp para indicaros el 2 punto de encuentro (de inicio de ruta) y organizar el compartir coches y gasolina. (se estipula el gasto a 18c/km a repartir entre los que van en el coche, siempre que el conductor desee compartir su vehículo. Y siempre se intentara ir 4 personas por vehículo para evitar huella ecologica y minizar gastos).
3. Si vais desde otra dirección o fuera de Madrid, por favor ponerse en contacto con el organizador.

This Saturday we’ll go on a beautiful circular hike through the upper part of the Lozoya Valley, starting from Puerto de Cotos and taking a refreshing swim (for advanced mountaineers) halfway through in the Lozoya River!
We’ll follow the path through the upper Lozoya area until we reach a small parking area, then continue down to the Lozoya River under the shade of pine, poplar, holly, and birch trees. We’ll walk along the beautiful riverside trail to admire waterfalls and a centuries-old birch tree. After that, we’ll cross and head up the opposite side of the river, passing by several natural pools where we can admire the crystal-clear water. Further along, we’ll move away from the river a bit to enjoy impressive views and the peaks of Cuerda Larga and Peñalara, before returning to Puerto de Cotos.
At this time of year, the river flows abundantly, forming cascades and waterfalls that accompany our route, making this adventure a nature-filled and enchanting experience. A great opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy a shared adventure in good company.
After the hike, we’ll celebrate with some well-deserved beers at the famous Cotos cantina! :-)

RECOMMENDED TO BRING: Hiking boots, summer and/or spring clothing, sunscreen, rain jacket. Also bring 1 liter of water and some light snacks (juice, nuts, fruit, chocolate…), and a sandwich for lunch.

Meeting time and place:
Those who wish can come by public bus with me. It’s free for holders of the C2 transport pass of the Community of Madrid, or €1.80 if we buy a 10-ride ticket shared among the group. The bus leaves from the Plaza Castilla transport hub.
Those who have a car or wish to share gas costs can go with a driver in their own vehicle, meeting at a second meeting point. We’ll organize all of this via WhatsApp:

1) By bus: We’ll meet at 08:50 a.m. at the Moncloa station, at the 691 bus line stop.
2) If you’re driving: Get in touch through the WhatsApp group to find out the second meeting point (start of the hike), and to coordinate carpooling and fuel sharing. (Fuel costs are calculated at €0.18/km to be shared among passengers, if the driver is willing to share their vehicle.)
3) If you're coming from another direction or outside of Madrid, please contact the organizer.
