Sometimes it's just about a workout! This week we will stay close to home and do a hike in the gorge.
We will be doing this in reverse:
Start at Oneonta Trail Head. Head West on Gorge Trail 400. Connect with Larch Mountain Trail 441. You can head up the Multnomah Falls portion of hike or hike down to the Multnomah Falls Visitor area. Either way once on 441 head up and if you want you can go to The Multnomah Falls Viewing Platform. Continue up 441 to Franklin Ridge Trail 427 (Very Important Sign Says Larch MTN. Trail nailed to tree, tree next to sign has pink surveyor tape, this is Franklin Ridge Trail), this portion of trail ambles left and then makes a sharp right heading up the ridge and then connects to Oneonta Trail 424. This heads down the ridge and to the river. Follow this to Triple Falls and then to Oneonta Trail Head. This is a loop hike! Expect overgrown trails and creek crossings. Bring your sense of exploration and flexibility!

Carpooling: Meet at Gateway Transit Center in the SW corner of the garage for a prompt departure. We ask that you pay your driver 10 cents per mile for gas. Please bring cash or use Venmo.
My style: I like to go at a consistent pace, between 2-3 mph depending on the steepness of the grade and terrain. Please make sure you know your pace and are able to keep up so that no one is left behind and that we stay together as a group. My goal is to get everyone through the hike and yours is to understand your limits. If we can do this, we will have a great day.
