Hi everyone — I wanted to share details about our next book club meeting. On October 3, we’ll be discussing Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.
Our next book club selection is Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe — a powerful classic about tradition, identity, community, and what happens when the world around us begins to change.
For this meetup, I thought it would be fun to add a little personal twist with the theme: “Things We Hold On To.”
Come ready to share one tradition, belief, custom, value, or expectation you grew up with — something you still treasure, something you’ve changed, or something you’ve happily left behind. It can be heartfelt, funny, cultural, spiritual, family-related, or just something that feels very you.
And if you want to make it even more fun, bring a photo, recipe, keepsake, or little object that connects to your story.
I love the idea of using the book as a doorway into learning more about each other, sharing a few stories, and creating the kind of warm, thoughtful conversation that makes book club feel like more than just talking about a book.
I’m really excited for this one and hope everyone will join us!
Note: Cybel is BYOB
