AGENDA
1️⃣ AI took off. Why now and what is next?
🗣️ Marc Schuh
➡️ AI learned to read, then to see, and finally to act. Now it is everywhere. What made that possible? Scaling effects: context windows grew 10,000-fold, compute a billion-fold and at the same time the inference cost dropped significantly. This made the new tool accessible to a broad marked. Agents made incredible progress, now finishing twelve-hour tasks on their own. The same machinery has broken a 56-year-old record in matrix multiplication and won gold at the Mathematical Olympiad.
After a short overview on the why, this talk focuses on several inspirational examples of successful applied AI in the enterprise context and gives a hint what is necessary that AI can take off in customers enterprise.
At last, we look a bit ahead. Which marked signs of dropped prices are visible and could give a hint for the "next big thing".
