Most of us spend a lot of time being the curious one. We ask, we listen, we remember the little things. But the follow-up question about our own world rarely comes.
Dispatches is a small dinner for people who've lived between cultures, taken a path off the usual script, or are somewhere in the middle of a pivot: a new country, a new kind of work, a new idea of what you want your life to look like. You'll get to talk about what's going on in your world with people from very different lives, around one theme.

This month's theme is success. What did it look like to the people who raised you? What does it look like to you now, and what changed?
No presenting, no debating, no advice. Just good questions, dinner by the sea, and a few people you'd never usually meet.

How the evening goes
We'll start at 20:00 with a quick hello and name tags that say "Ask me about " instead of your job title. Over dinner you'll talk one-on-one and as a table, with a few questions to get the conversation somewhere real. We'll close by each sharing one thing we now see differently. Stay for another drink if you like.

Who it's for
You're roughly 30 to 45, a professional, creative or entrepreneur. You grew up or have lived between cultures, your path doesn't follow the usual script, or you're in the middle of a pivot. You have a full social life but few people you can think out loud with, and you're curious how other people got to where they are.

Who it's not for
This isn't networking, a debate, a lecture or therapy. If you're here to pitch, collect contacts, win an argument or get expert advice, this one won't be for you.

Why I started this
The moments I've felt most alive were when someone got really curious about my world, and when I sat with people from totally different lives trying to understand one thing together. Not debating, just understanding how they got there. With so many competing headlines about "Us VS THEM," hearing real stories from real people, face to face, is one of the best ways I know to keep a pulse on what's real.
Last year I hosted Taste of Menorca near Washington DC, an evening of paella, wine and conversation that went past the small talk. Guests asked for more nights like it, so this is the first one in Valencia.

Good to know

There are 8 seats, chosen so the table is as varied as possible. When you RSVP you'll answer a few short questions so I can seat you well.
You can bring one person from a world very different from yours.
You choose how deep to go, and you can always pass. Be curious and have fun we will be there to help guide.
