ABOUT THE BOOK
The Last Cocktail Bar at the End of the World
requests the pleasure of your company on Tuesday the 17th of October
for an experiment in Light, Sound and Movement ...

One part short story collection, one part autobiography, Animals, Dreams & Nightmares takes you on a trip to the centre of the early 21st Century condition: what exactly is real anyway?

Via the medium of cocktails (and bar snacks), our character is guided through a maze of terrifying visions, culminating in his most secret fear of all.

Inspired by the classic portmanteau horror format, these stories will chill your heart, tickle your brain and even make you a little sad (but hopefully not too much).

Read it if you dare …

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Seb Duncan is a British author, educator, and former advertising creative.

He spent 20 years working as an advertising creative in London and Dubai before transitioning into creative writing education and fiction. He holds an MA in Creative Writing & Education and a PGCert in Teaching Creative Writing.

His novels Headcase and The Book of Thunder & Lightning explore how rapid social change and personal struggle intersect. They both use two time periods as key structural devices; the novels are foregrounded by the past as their modern stories unfold. The Book of Thunder & Lightning is critically acclaimed for its unique blend of historical darkness, youthful camaraderie, and surreal time-travel elements.

His latest work, Animals, Dreams & Nightmares is one part short story collection, one part autobiography. A homage to the portmanteau format, it is a strange, funny and moving read.

He has lived in Valencia since 2025.
