Welcome to the Intermediate Development Ride at Balboa Park! This group is geared towards more experienced riders comfortable with their mountain bike on blue and (optional) black difficulty trails.
All participants need to complete the SDMBA waiver at least once every 6 months. SDMBA Waiver
This is a no-drop, intermediate paced ride around some of the best trails Balboa Park has to offer with time to work on some more advanced skills. The ride is from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, with frequent stops to evaluate and practice features and obstacles. Average distance is 6 - 10 miles with ~500ft elevation gain.
We will meet at the tree by the parking lot (see the map and just look for the mountain bikers) and ride out together.
Lights: We've reached the season when lights have become mandatory for evening rides. All attendees must bring functional riding lights until springtime gives us longer riding daylight again

Mountain biking can be a dangerous sport, and learning new skills can be challenging. Always wear a helmet, bring plenty of water and if any part of the trail is above your ability and/or comfort zone it is okay to walk it.
The ride is led by Miles Todd.
