Shark Valley Moonlit Bike Ride

Come enjoy a golden hour bike ride to the observation tower in Shark Valley along with a breathtaking sunset over a sea of grass. Expect a nearly full moon illuminating the path back to see the Everglades in a silver and blue hue fashion. We will meet outside the gate to the park where there is some space for a few cars. -Arrive at 6:30 pm to gear up. -Be on our bikes no later than 6:45 pm. -Arrive at the observation tower by 7:15 pm. -Leave the tower after sunset. -Be back at the cars by 9:00 pm at the latest. Feel free to bring dinner and have a little picnic while at the tower. You must bring your own bike! The visitor center will be closed so bike rentals will not be available. The tram will also be unavailable. If weather is bad, this event will be cancelled. Bring Mosquito repellent and water!! The park is free to enter after the visitor center closes so there is no fee and it is completely legal. The total loop is about 16 miles as we have to park far from the actual starting area. I will leave the parking area no later than 6:45 pm as to not miss sunset at the tower. The plan is to go at a leisure pace so if you're late, you can still catch up.
