An evening of conversation about photography, art & craft Friday, 25 September 2026 20:00–22:00 Pulchri Studio, The Hague Free admission Food & drinks at your own expense Limited to 25 participants About the evening No Small Art is a special edition of the No Small Talk format, created for photographers, artists, image makers, educators, curators and anyone whose practice or curiosity is connected to photography and the arts. For this gathering, we’ll turn our attention to photography. Whether you work with images professionally, explore photography as an artistic practice, teach, curate, study or simply have a deep interest in the medium, you are warmly welcome. As with every No Small Talk, we appreciate it if you bring your own No Small questions, the questions that spark curiosity, challenge assumptions and open up new ways of thinking together. Throughout the evening, we’ll explore what makes a photograph art, where photography as a craft ends and photography as an art form begins, and how we understand the relationship between technical skill, artistic intention and personal expression. We’ll also reflect on how our ideas of a “good” photograph have changed over time, what makes an image worthy of exhibition, and whether being a great photographer necessarily means being an artist or vice versa. Bring something to share (optional) You’re welcome to bring: A photographic tool: A camera, lens, analogue equipment or another piece of photographic gear that you’d like to share or discuss. A favourite photograph: Your own or someone else’s. Be ready to tell us why it matters to you, whether for technical, artistic or personal reasons. Join the conversation The evening will be facilitated by experienced No Small Talk moderators, creating space for an open and thoughtful exchange. If you’re in any way connected to the arts, we’d be delighted to have you join us. Whether you come with a professional practice, a personal interest, a question or simply a curiosity about photography, your perspective is welcome.
