Grade : B-
Length : 6 miles
Ascent : 1000ft (300m)
A great circular walk along the Lundie Craigs with some stunning views from this high point of the area.
We start from the car park just outside the track to Tulleybaccart Farm. This is fairly small so please park carefully to get as many cars in a possible. Heading North we walk past the farm along the track to Ledcrieff Loch. From here we head up through the forrest to emerge on the edge of the craigs. We follow the ridge until we reach the aerial mast and take a left turn. Heading down the hill we follow the less used path to the Meridian Monument. From here we head down into the base of the valley and follow a route below the craigs back to Ledcrieff Loch and the car park.
Some sections of the walk are churned up from cattle passage so bring along good waterproof boots. Walking poles can be useful for the ascents.
We'll start walking at 10:00 hrs prompt. Please let us know if you're held up, or unable to join us, by messaging the event organiser via this Meetup website, so that we do not delay our walk.
We will be stopping for lunch at a convenient point.
Dogs are welcome provided they can be put on leads when requested or when conditions required.
Walking can pose a danger of personal injury and all participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions, involvement, and enjoyment. Please make sure you have the appropriate level of fitness required for a Grade B- walk.
