Let’s watch “YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER” (97% RT) @ Landmark + snack, discussion

Come see with me one of the most talked-about films of this fall (97% Rotten Tomatoes). Mahershala Ali gives what critics are calling one of the best performances of the year as Latif, a Muslim hitman who must protect his three children after his wife's death. When he turns to an unlikely ally for help, a sex worker, he finds himself up against a religious zealot, and against his own conscience. Directed by Bassam Tariq and fresh from the Toronto International Film Festival, it's a gripping thriller that is really about faith, fatherhood and what we owe the people we love. Fair warning: the ending has divided audiences, so bring your opinions to dinner!
