Hi! I’m Yuka, the organizer of Travelyuka! 😊

Would you like to meet new people in Zurich? 🇨🇭✨

This meetup is for anyone who enjoys travelling, languages, Japanese culture and other cultures, and meeting people from around the world.

I’m Yuka, a Japanese teacher from Kanagawa, Japan. I’ve travelled to 38 countries so far, and I’m currently travelling around Europe while organizing Travelyuka events in different places along the way.

Madrid has been my home base, where I used to organize regular language exchange and cultural events. I’m planning to return to Japan this autumn, but until then, I’d love to keep organizing events in different places during my journey.

Through language and cultural exchange, I hope to create opportunities for people to meet, connect, and make new friends!

I speak Japanese, English, and Spanish, so feel free to communicate in any of these languages.

🌏 About This Meetup

This will be our second meetup in Zurich, following last week’s event!

Around 11 people joined us last time. The group was a nice size, with a good balance of men and women. People of different ages came along, and we all had a great time chatting and getting to know each other! 😊

This time, let’s enjoy another relaxed evening together with some simple origami and friendly conversations. ✂️🎨

We can talk about our cultures, share stories about our countries and travels, practise languages, or simply get to know each other.

There’s nothing you need to prepare in advance, and you don’t need to have perfect language skills.

Come as you are and enjoy meeting new people!

A relaxed and friendly atmosphere where we can chat, get to know each other, exchange languages and cultures, and make new friends.

Whether you’re joining alone, travelling around Europe, or living locally, everyone is welcome!

📍 Location: Zurich city centre / Zurich HB area

The exact meeting point will be shared with participants before the event.

There is no participation fee!

Please pay for your own food and drinks. ☕🍰

⚠️ Event Cancellation

If there are not enough participants, the event may be cancelled.

In that case, I will notify everyone through Meetup at least 6 hours before the event starts.
