Early Halloween Hunter Full Moon Paddle!

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE SIGNING UP!
The Hunter Moon signaled the time when farmers finished reaping their crops and hunters could track fattened game to stockpile for winter. It is also a time for preparation, inner focus and releasing what no longer serves you as you transition into the darker, colder months of the year.

If you would like to come in costume we can take photos before we launch. It may be cold so please dress accordingly, wet/dry suits may be necessary under your costumes or just wear a witch/warlock hat.

Please arrive early to be able to park and be in the water at 4:15 pm. Sunset is 6:28 pm, and moonrise is 5:25 pm. It will be full dark at 6:55 pm, so we will try to be out of the water with fading light.

Bring wheels/kayak cart to get your boat from the parking lot to the launch area. Do not block the launch - stage your boats alongside. There is a Porta Potty at the launch site.

You must have a WHITE LIGHT on your boat to be visible on the water. Head lamps also recommended. The more lights the better. PFD's must be fastened and worn at all times. Kayaks 10' minimum with bulkheads and/or float bags. No inflatables, rafts or paddleboards. Canoes & surfskies OK. You should know how to assist and/or self rescue. Everyone is responsible for themselves. No pets allowed. If you have a radio bring it.

This is a flat water paddle, night darkness adds a hazard so we will stay in a pod formation as we paddle together around the lake.

Waivers must be signed if you have not paddled this year with us.

If you want to meet earlier for a bite, let me know in comments and we can get some really good fresh made ice cream, pizza etc in the shopping center next to the launch.
