Eureka Rail Trail 5K/10K (Athens, TN), Saturday, October 24th, 9:00/10:00am

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a 5K or 10K walk along the Eureka Rail Trail, Athens TN. This walk follows a section of the railroad bed between Athens and Englewood TN. This is a flat walk on a gravel surface (Rated 1B). We will have lunch following the walk at either Jenkins Grille & Market and/or Angela's Miami Grill depending on headcount. (Some may just choose Ice Cream at Mayfield Dairy.)

When: Saturday, October 24th. We will start the 10K at 9:00am and the 5K walk at 10:00am.

Where: We will meet at the Eureka Trail parking lot at 1400 E. Madison Ave., Athens TN 37303 for the walk starting point. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Jenkins Grille is at 411 S Jackson St, Athens, Angela's Miami Grill is at 711 S. White St, Athens and Mayfield Dairy is at 806 E Madison Ave. Athens.

Registration: This is an AVA sanctioned walk and there will be a modest $3 fee for insurance and registration costs. The walk fee will be payable to the walk leader at the start of the walk.

Dogs are allowed on a leash for the walk. Outdoor seating is available at Jenkins, but not at Angela's.
