We’re kicking off a new Socrates Café in Dublin and are delighted to welcome you to our first gathering!
For our first conversation, we’ll explore a question that has challenged thinkers for centuries and remains just as relevant today: Is there justice in the world today?
What do we mean when we call something just or unjust? Is justice the same for everyone? And what might Socrates’ way of questioning help us discover about our own ideas of justice?
Rather than debating to win or looking for a single right answer, we’ll explore the question together – examining our assumptions, listening to different perspectives and seeing where the conversation leads us.
The gathering will be informal and open to everyone – no knowledge of Socrates or philosophy is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore ideas together.
We’ll be meeting upstairs in The Loft at Fumbally Stables – a relaxed and intimate space for conversation.
The event is hosted by members of the Foundation for Platonic Studies.
Donation: €5 per session, including tea/coffee.
