Gear up for the ultimate off-road thrill as Valley Jeepsters take on the legendary Rocker Knocker trail in the rugged backcountry of Payson, Arizona! Unleash your rig's true potential as we navigate technical boulder fields, steep shelf roads, and heart-pounding rock crawls set against stunning high-country pine vistas. Whether you're behind the wheel or spotting a fellow wheeler through the tough lines, this run promises high-octane camaraderie, epic views, and unforgettable trails. Lock your diffs, pack your gear, and join us for an unforgettable day of conquering Arizona’s wildest terrain together!
This is considered one of the more difficult trails in Payson with steep rock ledges and extensive rock crawling rated somewhere between 6 and 7. It is also a very scenic trail with phenomenal views all around. This is not a beginner's trail! Moderately built up Jeeps with 3.5+ lift, 35+ tires and at least one locker are highly recommended. Disclaimer, it will be the first time running this trail for me so I can't speak from personal experience.
It is a one way trail approximately 12 miles long and it should take us around 4 to 5 hours to complete if everything goes according to plan. Anything can happen on the trail though. Completion times are NOT guaranteed.
We will meet at the Gas Station located at 2010 N Beeline Hwy, Payson, AZ 85541 and drive 15 minutes to the trailhead. If you’re unable to make it, please remove yourself from the event at least a day before! If you’re running late, let us know and we will wait for you.
