Updated! SSP TUE - CITY LIGHT & SHADOWS IN MONOCHROME : Marrickville

Join us for a relaxed morning street photography walk through Marrickville’s industrial streets, Exploring Light and Shadows in Monochrome. We’ll meet at Sindbad Cafe, 11 Sydenham Road, Marrickville, for coffee, then start the walk at 10:00 am. Our route will take us through Shirlow Street, Saywell Street, Cadogan Street, Faversham Street, Hans Place and Fitzroy Street, looking for strong contrast, geometric shadows, warehouse textures, silhouettes, negative space and people moving through patches of light. Photo challenge: Find the light first. Compose the frame. Then wait for the subject. We’ll finish at around 12:00 pm at Marrickville Bowling & Recreation Club, 91 Sydenham Road, where those who wish can stay for lunch. The route is mostly flat and we’ll walk at a relaxed pace with plenty of time for photography.
