Discussion - Thoughtforms, Egregores, and Independent Beings

I am happy to introduce our next topic of discussion - Thoughtforms, Egregores, and Independent Beings. A warm and vibrant community will welcome you to the event and I hope you can attend! This session will take place on November 24 at 18:45 - 20:45 at the Crowned Eagle Pub.

Introduction to the topic - For all of human history, we worshipped and communed with invisible pantheons and forces that existed beyond perception. We called them "gods", "deities", and "entities" for lack of a better term. But what if it is we who made these forces up through our own thoughts? In modern occult thinking, our thoughts have the power to take on a life of their own when we give them repeated attention and focus. As we came up with symbols and images to represent these thoughts, greater numbers of people attached belief to them giving rise to living breathing symbols that we could call "entities". It is through this lens that I welcome you to the world of thoughtforms and egregores.

In this session, we will introduce ourselves to exactly what a thoughtform is - a living breathing thought given life through repeated attention, focus, and belief. We will also see how a thoughtform becomes an egregore - a powerful thought form that grows through the collective beliefs and attention from an entire group of people. We will finally consider the possibility that beings exist independent of thoughtforms, such as actual spirits, gods, and other entities. All of these discussions will lead way to a powerful conversation on how thoughtforms can shape our lives and even on how we can use these concepts to perform simple, but powerful magic with them.
