A Walk in Penn’s Woods is a statewide coordinated event that happens on the first Sunday in October every year. The goal is to encourage people across Pennsylvania to learn how their local woods work, see the forests in new ways, and grow in appreciation of our wonderful woodlands and the wildlife that inhabits them. Join Ridley Creek SP's naturalist for a guided 2-3 mile hike through the woods of Ridley Creek State Park where you will learn about the forest, its inhabitants, and its history. The hike will last about 2-hours along natural surface trails. Dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes and bring water and snacks. If you have binoculars you may want to bring those along, too. Registration is not required. Meet at the Hunting Hill Mansion (Park Office) in the upper parking lot. Restrooms are available on site.
