High Barnet Pub Crawl

A tour of three of High Barnet's historic excellent pubs. Leave a message if you would like to book space for the meal at the Old Mitre (you can just drink if you wish). 7pm Ye Olde Mitre Pub (aka The Old Mitre). 58 High Street, Barnet, EN5 5SJ. We will stay until 8.30pm so that we can eat here. "Our Barnet based pub has a historic build, dating as far back as the 15th century and is a Grade II listed building. To enjoy a selection of drinks and award-winning pub food" 8.30pm A short walk to The Black Horse, 92 Wood Street, Barnet, EN5 4BW. A pub that was threatened with closure but then rescued by local people, dates back to 1720. 9.30pm And lastly we walk to Ye Olde Monken Halt. 193 High Street, High Barnet, EN5 5SU "Close to the site of the 1471 Battle of Barnet, this traditional Greene King tenanted pub dates from 1863. Locals and walkers drop in after a stroll over Hadley Common. Granted Asset of Community Value status in 2017, the pub offers four separate areas within an open plan layout."
