Epic Brewing is where Utah’s craft beer scene broke free from its limits. In 2009, they became the state’s first postprohibition brewery to exclusively brew high‑alcohol beer, boldly stepping past the old 4% threshold and proving that flavor and strength could thrive together. That pioneering energy still fills every can and bottle today, whether you’re sipping in their taproom or grabbing a brew straight from the source. Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.
How it works:

Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!

What to expect:

The matching process is highly intentional—come with an open mind.
If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.

Event Structure:
This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time.

6:00 pm—the event begins on time (Mingling hour)
7:00 pm—doors close, The Algorithm begins computing matches
7:05 pm—first clue drop – break into groups
7:10 pm—match 1 revealed
7:30 pm—second clue drop – break into groups
7:40 pm—match 2 revealed
8:00 pm—third clue drop – break into groups
8:10 pm—match 3 revealed
8:00 pm—matching concludes, mingling hour

FAQs:
Q: What if I don’t get a match? A: We aim to maintain an even ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.
Q: What is your refund policy? A: We need to balance the party, and that involves planning! So no refunds can be granted, although in rare cases we may be able to extend a credit to a future event.🥰 Coming solo? Perfect. So are 40% of our guests.

Due to the event activity, we need the gender ratio to be exact! Please purchase the correct ticket, ahead of time so we can better manage the gender ratio. Please let us know if you purchased a ticket and cannot attend.
