Make Your First Game @ A Lab

Hello everyone, Our previous Cozy Code session was cozy indeed - thank you all for coming! Next up, we're back at our usual spot at A Lab for a beginner workshop on making video games in PICO-8. You'll need to bring a laptop, but there's nothing to install and no accounts to create. We'll be using the browser-based PICO-8 Education Edition. You'll only need to know the very basics of programming - things like what a function, loop, or if/else condition is. No prior game-development experience is needed. We'll start with a quick introduction to PICO-8, go through some of the basics of game development and then put it all together by making our own tiny (pico?) game. There will even be explosions, so we really hope to see you there! Or if not, catch us on Discord.
