Coffee Meetup 4 (Folklore, Mild Spooky Stories & Other Weird Things)

This week we're returning to Saturday and keeping the format simple: coffee and conversations.
This time we're testing whether a light theme helps spark conversation.
With Halloween around the corner, feel free to bring:
A ghost story.
An urban legend from your hometown.
A strange personal experience.
A piece of local folklore that is new to me :D
A horror movie you love.
Or thoughts on why people voluntarily seek out being scared in the first place.
This is not a requirement, and I fully expect the conversation to wander somewhere completely different and we'll keep it mild if someone is easily spooked😅.
As always, the goal is not the topic itself. The goal is good conversation.
We'll try to spend less time introducing ourselves and more time exploring ideas, observations, interests, and whatever unexpected conversational threads emerge.
Just coffee, conversation, and an attempt to build a group of familiar faces rather than an endless rotation of strangers.
Who Should Come?
People tired of superficial networking. There are plenty of networking events out there.
Introverts (and introvert-adjacent people).
Curious people.
Anyone who misses having a group of regulars.
Anyone who enjoys conversations where everyone gets a chance to participate.<-work in progress
Anyone with a good ghost story, strange observation, or niche piece of folklore hiding in the back of their mind.
If that sounds appealing, grab a coffee and pull up a chair.
Finding the table
Please seek out the person wearing the fedora hat if you're punctual.
If you genuinely can't find the group, use the event page/comments/chat to ask. No one can identify attendees by telepathy.
A Small Request
Please try to arrive reasonably close to the start time if possible.
The first part of the meetup is often when new attendees are introduced and the initial conversations take shape. Arriving on time helps everyone settle in together and makes it easier for new attendees to join the discussion.
The Ground Rules
Please read the rules in the group description.
