This year’s theme is \“Family — Kizuna (Bonds)”\: a welcoming space to experience Japanese culture, meet new people and share special moments with family and friends.

🌸 \Japanese Cultural Experiences\
Enjoy Japanese tea, calligraphy, ikebana flower arranging and origami. You can also try on a traditional \haori jacket\ and take a memorable photo!

🪵 \Build Together — Tsunagi Table Workshop\
📅 \Monday\, 2 November | 2–5 pm\, ahead of the main exhibition
Help assemble a communal wooden table using \Tsunagi\, an innovative timber joint system developed by Nikken Wood Lab. Join craftspeople and fellow participants to create a place where everyone can gather!

🍵 \Celebrate Together — Machikan\
\Machikan, “A Toast Across the City,”\ brings people together to celebrate special occasions and the little joys of everyday life. Gather around the table, share a toast with Japanese tea and celebrate the connections we create together.
