JACKSON HOLE (first half of Big Sky trip)- Ikon Full Pass

JACKSON HOLE / BIG SKY TRIP:

Jackson Hole dates: Fri, Jan 29-Tues, Feb 2
Big Sky dates: Tues Feb 2- Sun, Feb 7... But trips will be booked separately, and Big Ski details to be announced soon.

JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT is in the Bridger-Teton Mountain Range bordering Yellowstone and has some of the most notorious expert terrain in the world. Will you dare to drop into the famous “Corbet’s Couloir” or find your way down “Alta Chutes”? Hike up to Casper Bowl? Ski the trees off the Hobacks or Saratoga Bowl? Even if you do not venture onto those gnarly trails, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has the longest continuous vertical rise of any ski area in the U.S., rising 4,139 feet from the valley floor to the top of Rendezvous Mountain! They have terrain for almost everyone. Join us! Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is on the Ikon Full Pass, but it is NOT on the Ikon Base Pass. This is not a good trip for any beginners since they only have one or two green trails.

Many people who will join on this trip will also attend the XNM Big Sky Trip and at the conclusion of this trip. We will drive north, through the Grand Teton's in Idaho, past West Yellowstone and into Big Sky. A lof of people may fly home from Bozeman at the conclusion of that trip. The drive is usually about 3.5 hours.

We will be staying at Modern Mountain in the middle of the town of Jackson, walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. The hotel was completely renovated an expanded before our last trip to Jackson Hole a 3 years ago. They have both indoor and outdoor hot tubs, as well as indoor and outdoor pools. Breakfast is available for purchase and they have a pub which will be open on most of the nights we will be there. There are free shuttles to and from the hotel to the mountain each day (which is a 20 minute ride). The price is low enough that we will plan to put two people per room with two queen beds. There are some additional lodging options (king bed, and rooms with two queen beds and two upper twin bunk beds). There are rooms with kitchens in them as well, but those are quite a bit more expensive. The cost is $400 per person with double occupancy, total for the 4 nights.

FLIGHTS/TRANSPORTATION/CARPOOLS:
Jackson Hole airport is super easy. Google Spreadsheet will help coordinate flights, and rental cars but ultimately booking of flights and rental cars is your responsibility. For those just joining in Jackson Hole, you probably do not need a car as you can Uber from the airport to the hotel and then everything is walkable in town, and we have shuttles to the ski mountain provided by the hotel.

LIFT TICKETS:
Most trip attendees will have Ikon Passes (FULL PASS as BASE PASS DOES NOT WORK AT JACKSON HOLE). If you are planning to purchase an Ikon Pass, reach out to John for more information on the group program. We do not have group discounted lift tickets for this trip specifically.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds after Nov 1st unless a replacement traveler is found. Cancellations incur minimal admin fees depending on the date. $10 until Nov 1st, $20 until Dec 1st, $30 until Jan 1st, $40 after Feb 1.
