Defenders Village @ BSides Ottawa 2026

🛡️ BLUE TEAMS, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU. THE DEFENDERS VILLAGE IS GOING LIVE! 🔥

BSides Ottawa 2026 is thrilled to announce Hack The Box (HTB) as our Official Exclusive Sponsor of the Defenders Village! 🇨🇦

🚨 The adversary doesn't follow a script. Neither should your training.
We're bringing cyber defence out of the classroom and into the fight.
Whether you're protecting government networks, defending critical infrastructure, or securing the systems Canadians depend on every day, this is your opportunity to put your defensive skills to the test.

🔎 Hunt the threats. Investigate the evidence.

Detect the intrusion. Stop the attack.
Powered by Hack The Box, the Defenders Village will challenge blue teams in a realistic, live-fire cyber defence simulation environment. SOC analysts, digital forensics investigators, threat hunters, and incident responders will face adversary-inspired scenarios designed to test their ability to identify malicious activity, investigate compromises, analyze attacker behaviour, and respond to offensive cyber operations under pressure. This isn't about memorizing playbooks. It's about developing the instincts, technical expertise, and operational readiness needed when a real adversary comes knocking.

⚡ Because when critical systems are under attack, readiness isn't theoretical.
Hack The Box is helping redefine how cybersecurity professionals develop and validate defensive capabilities through hands-on, adversary-realistic training, threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response exercises.
And we're bringing that experience directly to the BSides Ottawa community.

Think you can detect the attack before the damage is done? Come prove it. 🎯
