"Scaling Quantum Computing: Solving the Interconnect Bottleneck"
(Scaling Qubits Requires Scaling Cryogenic Control Infrastructure)

Abstract
One of the biggest challenges facing quantum computing today is scaling the infrastructure around the qubits.

As systems move from hundreds toward thousands and eventually much larger numbers of qubits, the industry has to solve how to deliver an increasing number of control and readout signals into a cryogenic environment without creating an unmanageable amount of wiring, connectors, thermal load, and system complexity.

At QTREX Quantum, we are focused on solving this connectivity challenge. Using our Additively Manufactured Electronics technology, we are developing high-density cryogenic RF and microwave interconnects, advanced packaging, and scalable I/O architectures that integrate conductors, dielectric structures, shielding, and routing into highly integrated designs.

Our goal is simple: enable quantum computing companies to scale their processors without the interconnect infrastructure becoming the bottleneck
“The future of quantum computing is not only about scaling qubits—it is about scaling the connections that make those qubits usable.”

Bio
Peter Johnsamson — VP, Business Development & Sales, QTREX Quantum

Peter Johnsamson is Vice President of Business Development & Sales at QTREX Quantum, where he focuses on strategic partnerships and the commercialization of advanced technologies for quantum computing, Additively Manufactured Electronics (AME), aerospace, defense, and other high-performance applications.

QTREX is developing high-density cryogenic connectivity solutions designed to address one of the key challenges in scaling quantum computers: delivering increasing numbers of control and readout signals while managing space, thermal load, signal integrity, and system complexity.

Peter brings extensive experience across advanced electronics, semiconductor technologies, and medical devices, with a career that began in technical field service and progressed into global customer support, business development, and sales leadership.

His previous leadership roles include positions with Brainlab, ViewRay, and Nano Dimension, where he developed broad technical and commercial experience in electronic medical systems and Additively Manufactured Electronics.
