A Way of Love book launch

bookhaus on Wapping Wharf are hosting an event to celebrate the publication of three books which provide insight into the experiences and lives of gay men in the post-war, pre-Stonewall era. Author and biographer Peter Parker will talk about his critically acclaimed two volumes Some Men in London: Queer Life 1945-59 and 1960-67 recently published in paperback in the Penguin Modern Classics series. Lurid Editions reprints LGBTQ books that have fallen out circulation. Originally published in 1959, A Way of Love is a new edition of this important queer novel, written by a seriously under-appreciated author, James Courage. Join me at bookhaus, Tuesday 22nd, 6pm (event starts 6:30pm). Tickets cost £7 and include a glass of wine or a soft drink and £2 off the books.
