Let's go square dancing in North Hollywood! ($20-25)

- Live Band: Echo Mountain String Band
- Caller: Lindsey Ford

Never square danced? Don't worry... all dances are taught. Fun guaranteed!

No partner necessary, this is social dancing :) Everyone willing to participate is welcome!

Bring your friends -- the more the square-ier!

Straight and LGBTQIA+ friendly.

We'll meet up inside by the "The Mayflower Club" wall mural (see photos below) at 7pm.

SCHEDULE:
7:00pm - doors + band + socializing
7:15ish - beginner lesson + socializing
7:30ish - dancing

DIRECTIONS:
Punch "Mayflower Club" into maps and it should get there easy.
11110 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606

PARKING:
There is free parking behind the club. Street parking on Victory Blvd should also be free after 7pm, but double-check posted signs.

MEETING UP:
We'll meet up by the wall mural of the Mayflower. We will meet there as a group from 7:00-7:10pm. If you're late and miss the group meet, ask the people at the check-in table to point you to Taylor or Lindsey, and we'll introduce you to the rest of the group.

DRINKS/FOOD INFO:
You may bring your own food and refillable water bottle.
No outside alcohol or other bottled drinks allowed. Bar onsite.

COST:
$20 advance discount (until Oct 9th) via Venmo to @LASquares
$25 on Oct 10th or at the door

WHAT TO BRING:
Comfortable shoes
Water bottle
Venmo receipt on your phone for the dance

Tips for the LADIES:

Dresses are fun for twirling, but pants are cool too :)
It's best to wear shoes that are comfortable, not too grippy and won't easily slip off (I usually wear my converse or flats w/ a strap)
Dress in layers, you will get warm
It's ok (even encouraged) to ask guys to dance :)
Ladies are always right, so ladies are always on the right when dancing (though you are no way limited to dancing the "lady" role--anyone can dance any role)

Hope you'll join us!
