🎟️✨ Obama Presidential Center: Your Ticket Inside Awaits! 🦅🏛️
🦅🏛️ WE’RE FINALLY GOING INSIDE THE OBAMA PRESIDENTIAL CENTER MUSEUM! 🎟️ ONLY 8 GUEST SPOTS! 🎨✨📚
We’ve visited the Obama Presidential Center several times, but now we’re finally getting to experience the full museum experience! 🙌
I have 9 tickets total, which means 8 guests can join me for an afternoon exploring one of Chicago’s newest landmarks. ❤️
⚠️ IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE RSVPing!
🎟️ I have 9 timed-entry tickets, and 8 guest spots are available.
🕐 Our museum entry time is 1:15 PM. We will meet at 1:00 PM SHARP.
🚨 We MUST enter together because the tickets will be scanned from my reservation. I’ll confirm the exact group-entry rules with the museum, but please plan on arriving on time.
PLEASE ONLY RSVP IF YOU ARE 95% SURE YOU CAN ATTEND AND ARRIVE ON TIME! If you cannot be there by 1:00 PM, please DO NOT RSVP. I only have 8 guest spots, and I don’t want anyone to miss out because they arrived late.
Once we’re inside, you can explore at your own pace and leave whenever you want—we just must all enter together.

🏛️ ABOUT THE OBAMA PRESIDENTIAL CENTER
The Obama Presidential Center is a major cultural and educational destination on Chicago’s South Side, built to celebrate the legacy of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama while inspiring future generations to make a difference in their communities.
The Center officially opened to the public on June 19, 2026—Juneteenth—after years of planning and construction. Located at 6001 S. Stony Island Avenue, the 19.3-acre campus brings together presidential history, architecture, art, education, recreation, and community gathering spaces.
The project reflects President Obama’s roots on Chicago’s South Side and his belief that ordinary people can come together to create extraordinary change. Rather than being just a traditional presidential library, the Center was designed as a place where people can learn, connect, participate, and be inspired.
The campus includes the ticketed museum, a Chicago Public Library branch, gardens, public art, gathering spaces, a playground, and Home Court, featuring a regulation-size basketball court. Most outdoor campus spaces are free to visit, but the museum requires a timed-entry ticket.
🏛️ WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE INSIDE THE MUSEUM
This time, we’re going beyond the free public spaces to experience the ticketed museum galleries!
The museum spans four levels and uses immersive exhibits, interactive displays, photographs, films, historical objects, and personal stories to explore the Obamas’ lives and the history surrounding their presidency.
Highlights include:
🇺🇸 The Obama Presidency: Major achievements, challenges, policies, and defining moments from the administration.
🗳️ The Campaign and Election: The movement, volunteers, and historic election that brought America’s first Black president to the White House.
🏛️ A Replica of the Oval Office: Get a closer look at a full-scale recreation of the presidential office, including the Resolute Desk.
👗 Michelle Obama’s Legacy: Explore her role as First Lady, including displays featuring her iconic fashion.
📜 Personal Stories and Artifacts: Discover objects, letters, photographs, and stories that bring history to life.
🎬 Films and Interactive Experiences: Engage with the people, events, and ideas that shaped the Obama years.
🌆 The Sky Room and Observation Deck: Enjoy panoramic views of Chicago, if access and timing allow.
🔭 OBSERVATION DECK: Access is guaranteed as part of our visit, but our ability to go up may be limited by capacity or time. We’ll try to visit this first if possible!
Once we’re inside, everyone can explore at their own pace and focus on the exhibits that interest them most.
🌿 MORE TO SEE ON THE CENTER CAMPUS
Depending on time and access, we can also check out some of the Center’s public spaces and features:
🎨 Public art installations created specifically for the campus
🌸 The Women’s Garden
🌱 The Eleanor Roosevelt Fruit and Vegetable Garden
📚 The Chicago Public Library’s Obama Presidential Center branch
🏀 Home Court and its athletic facilities
🏛️ The Center’s distinctive architecture and gathering spaces
🛍️ The gift shop, if time allows
The campus brings together art, landscape, education, sports, and community life as part of the Obama Foundation’s mission to inspire and empower people to make a difference.
♿ ACCESSIBILITY: There are elevators and places to sit and rest. I believe wheelchairs may be available, but I’ll confirm availability with the museum. Please check back for updates if you need one.
🥐 POSSIBLE BRUNCH BEFOREHAND!
Instead of grabbing a bite after the museum, I’m thinking we might meet for brunch beforehand and then walk over to the Center together. 🍳☕
📌 Stay tuned for updates! For now, I want to find out who can join us for the Tuesday afternoon museum visit before making plans for brunch.
🚨 PLEASE RSVP ONLY IF YOU CAN COMMIT!
I only have 8 guest spots, and everyone must be there for our 1:00 PM meetup so we can enter together for the 1:15 PM timed-entry slot.
Please RSVP only if you are 95% sure you can attend and arrive on time. If you can no longer attend, update your RSVP immediately so someone else can take your spot.
