White Rock Hills & La Madre Springs Loop

All LVHikers members are welcome and encouraged to join us for the rest of the series hikes!

Please note: This hike is also part of the ongoing Trail Ready Series, where participants are now applying what they've learned during their training under real trail conditions. These are regular group hikes, open to all LVHikers members.

Hike 6

La Madre Springs/White Rock Hills Loop is a moderately difficult adventure in Red Rock Canyon that follows a well-graded trail leading to a picturesque spring fed by an aquifer. The trail offers steady elevation gain, winding through rugged desert terrain with views of steep-sided mountains and towering sandstone cliffs that showcase the area’s raw natural beauty. This is a loop hike: we’ll begin at Mile Marker 6 inside the Red Rock fee area and complete the loop, returning to the original trailhead parking lot. Expect varied terrain and ascension.

All attendees must be members of VegasHikers. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up, and it's FREE.

GEAR:

Backpack
Hiking shoes; approach shoes are helpful
No trekking poles
2L of water, sun protection, snacks & electrolytes.

Everything I Need Before I Arrive
Please arrive between 6:00 and 6:15 am.

CARPOOLS:
We will meet at the Red Rock Hotel, West parking garage, 4th floor, section 4D, near the ramp to form carpools.
(You will be required to sign a waiver)

TAILGATE: (Tailgating is part of the event.)
When you sign up for this hike, you are signing up for the entire event, including the tailgate. Please plan accordingly. This is important for carpooling and event logistics, as transportation is arranged based on everyone participating in the full event.

At the end of the hike, a relaxed gathering where we enjoy drinks, food, and good conversation. This is an opportunity to connect with fellow hikers on a social level that often isn’t possible during the hike itself. Bring a camp chair!

MEETUP PROFILE: Your Meetup profile must include a current profile photo, and the name on your Meetup profile must match the name you use on your participant waiver. This is required so organizers can accurately verify attendance and participant records.
