Casual Surf at Manly

Hello everyone!

Come along for a relaxed surf session at Manly Beach! Enjoy some waves at your own pace, then grab a beer and a bite to eat afterwards if you feel like sticking around.

Whether you're new to the group or have joined us before, you're welcome!

How it works

Meet at Manly Beach (see meeting point below).
Have a quick chat and check the surf conditions before heading in.
Surf together at your own pace, and leave whenever you like.
Optional beer, food or a casual hangout afterwards.

All levels are welcome, so don't worry if you're fairly new to surfing. Just choose waves that suit your ability and enjoy the session at your own pace.

After the surf, we'll head somewhere nearby for a beer or some food. You're also welcome to stay at the beach, relax or keep surfing if you prefer.

When/Where
We'll meet by the pipes closest to the Corso (South Pipe) at 10:00am

If you need to hire a board, please get to the rental shop around 9:30am so you can grab a board, change your wetsuit, and head over to meet us on time.

Who can join?
All levels are welcome, including beginners. Just be comfortable in the ocean and choose waves that suit your ability.

What to bring
You'll need a surfboard, leash, wetsuit, towel, sunscreen and water.
If you do not have equipment, you can hire them at Manly Surfboards or other nearby rental shops.

This is a community meetup, not a surfing lesson or guided session.
Everyone is responsible for their own safety and choosing conditions suitable for their ability.
Please respect surf etiquette and other beach users.
The event may be adjusted or postponed depending on surf and weather conditions.
