Hacklebarney State Park Hike
Join us Saturday, November 14 at 8:00 AM for a scenic hike through Hacklebarney State Park. We’ll explore the shaded Black River gorge, enjoy river views, and look for the park’s small waterfalls.
We’ll hike at a relaxed group pace for roughly 2–3 miles, with breaks for photos. Hacklebarney has about five miles of trails, so the exact route may vary with trail conditions.
Meet: Main parking area, Hacklebarney State Park, Long Valley, NJ
Difficulty: Moderate; expect rocky, uneven and potentially slippery sections
Cost: No park entrance fee
Wear sturdy hiking shoes with good traction and bring water and a snack. Please RSVP so we know who to expect.
