Chico Vinyl Hunting 101: Finding Hidden Gems

If you have been wanting to start a vinyl collection but feel a bit overwhelmed by the stacks at local shops, this meetup is for you. We are getting together in Chico to demystify the process of digging for records. Whether you are looking for specific albums or just want to learn how to spot a good pressing in a pile of crates, this is a low-pressure environment to share tips, talk music, and learn the basics of evaluating the condition of used vinyl.

We will start with a quick chat about what to look for—and what to avoid—when browsing through a shop, then spend some time putting those skills into practice. This is meant to be a relaxed, social way to connect with other local listeners and build some confidence before your next solo outing. If you have been curious about getting into vinyl but were not sure where to start, come join us for an afternoon of digging. Please go ahead and RSVP if you think you can make it so I can get a sense of how many people to expect.
