Pickleball 101 with Coach John – Absolute Beginners Only!

Never played pickleball before? Perfect — this one is specifically for absolute first-time beginners. Our senior pickleball star John is taking us onto the court for a small, hands-on introduction to the game. He’ll teach us the basics: how to hold the paddle, serving, positioning, scoring, and enough of the rules to actually get a game going. This is intentionally a very small group so everyone gets plenty of time on the court. John will be teaching three beginners, including me, which means we have only TWO additional spots available. 🏓 Sunday | 5:00–6:00 PM 📍 The Picklr Austin Oak Hill 7101 State Hwy 71, Suite D1, Austin, TX 78735 Cost: $20 per player (except John) Venmo or cash accepted. Equipment: If you don’t own a paddle, don’t let that stop you. Equipment may be available to borrow for free, or you can rent a paddle at the facility for around $5. Important: Please arrive 15 minutes early (4:45 PM) so we can get checked in, sign the waiver, sort out equipment, and be ready to start playing right at 5:00. We only have the court for one hour, so we don’t want to waste any of it on paperwork. No experience needed. No skills expected. This is literally the event to come to if you’ve been curious about pickleball but have never tried it. Two spots. One hour.
