First Gathering - Auditorium Shores Potluck Picnic and Mingle
Join us for the very first gathering of the Austin Witchcraft, Wicca & Pagan Community! Have you been practicing the Craft on your own and wishing for a supportive community to share the journey with? Or are you curious about earth-based spirituality and interested in learning more? Whether you have been practicing for decades, are simply curious, or fall somewhere in between, you are warmly invited to spend an evening in community on the lawn at Auditorium Shores on August 16 at 6:30PM. This first gathering will focus on connection and community. We will begin with time to mingle and get to know one another. The hosts will then share a little about their personal paths, traditions, and practices. Others will also be invited to share any beliefs, practices, or experiences that have been meaningful along their own journeys. Wicca, witchcraft, paganism, druidry, animism, folk magic, eclectic practices, and earth-based spirituality are all welcome. If you are brand new and have more questions than answers, that is perfectly okay too. Curiosity is welcome here! During the event, we will also co-create a simple community blessing ritual together. We will light a candle and set collective intentions for this new community. This will be an inclusive, optional ritual designed to honor the many paths represented in our circle while celebrating the beginning of something new. Afterward, we will enjoy an open conversation where everyone is invited to share their experiences, ask questions, exchange resources, and learn from one another. Think of it as a relaxed community circle rather than a formal class. What to Bring A dish to share. Anything is welcome! Snacks, waters, sweets - just please be mindful of sharing any common dietary restrictions with the group. Also, if you aren't able to bring any food, please do not let that prohibit you from coming!! Your presence is enough. A blanket, camp chair, or pillow to sit on Water (it’s August in Texas!) An open mind and respectful curiosity Optional: A meaningful item from your practice to share during introductions if you’d like Community Values This is an inclusive space that welcomes practitioners of many traditions as well as those who are simply exploring. We ask everyone to approach one another with respect, curiosity, and compassion. There is no “right” way to practice, and we honor the diversity of beliefs and experiences within our community. We look forward to meeting you and planting the first seeds of what we hope will become a thriving magical community here in Austin. Meetup Location We will be meeting on the lawn of Auditorium Shores. We will be posting up in the shade on the west tree line of the lawn.
