ADHD Women's Circle: Recognizing Your Emotional and Physical Needs

Thu 6 Aug ยท 4:30pm ยท De Klinker

Many women with ADHD spend years learning to notice what everyone else needs while losing touch with themselves. We become skilled at adapting and pushing through, often ignoring the signals our minds and bodies are trying to give us. Over time, it can become surprisingly difficult to answer a simple question: What do I need right now? Do I need rest or stimulation? Quiet or connection? Structure or flexibility? Encouragement, movement, food, or simply a break? And even when we do know what we need, ADHD often makes it difficult to remember in moments of stress or overwhelm. In this meeting we'll explore a simple framework: Recognize โ†’ Remember โ†’ Respond Recognize - How do I notice the signals my mind and body are giving me? What do those signals tell me I need right now? Remember - What helps me when I feel overwhelmed\, stressed\, or stuck? Respond - What systems can I put in place to remember and apply what helps in the moment? This is a peer-learning space, not training or a therapy session. Participate in whatever way feels right for you, whether that means sharing your experiences, listening quietly, asking questions, or simply being curious.
