Sunday Assembly San Diego

Sunday Assembly San Diego is an inclusive, non-religious community that meets to hear thoughtful talks, connect for service projects, sing songs, and generally celebrate life (with snacks). Assemblies are free to attend, and everyone is welcome. AND!! Free child care for ages 1.5 and up is available at every assembly.

November's Assembly talk:
Sunning in San Diego, Protecting the Arctic: Polar Bear Conservation in Action
How do you study an apex predator in one of the most remote places on Earth? Sometimes, you start in San Diego! The polar bears at the San Diego Zoo aren't just guest favorites—they are vital partners in cutting-edge conservation research. Dr. Nicholas Pilfold from San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance shares fascinating stories from the front lines of polar bear science, bridging the gap between local zoo research and conservation in the Arctic.

Here's the Zoom link for anyone who wants to attend online.

Stay after the assembly for coffee, snacks, BIRTHDAY CAKE (SASD turns 14!), and our third annual SOUP OFF immediately after the assembly program, where you can compete for the coveted Best in Soup prize. The eating is free, but if you want to judge all the entries, that will set you back a cool (hot?) $10. Please RSVP for Soup Off separately here, and check out the details.

The Bankers Hill Club is an accessible facility, including accessible parking spots and bathrooms. There is plenty of parking available.
