We're back at Carousel on Tuesday 3rd November at 7pm for our latest film - and one I've been wanting to show for a long time. If you've been enjoying the unexpected twists and turns of Yorgos Lanthimos' Hollywood work (The Lobster, Bugonia, Poor Things) then get ready to see where it all began - the Greek absurd and very, very dark comedy Dogtooth!
An over-protective husband and wife keep their three children safe and ignorant of the outside world by locking them permanently in their home. With all of them now aged well into adulthood and no knowledge of social norms, the family struggles to maintain their isolation and sanity as maturity threatens to unravel the status quo.
PAY WHAT YOU FEEL TICKETS HERE
This one is definitely 18-rated and a challenging watch at times, but you'll never find a better deconstruction of the ethics and supposed goals of restrictive parenting - so come along for a crazy ride if you've enjoyed Yorgos Lanthimos films so far! As always, tickets are pay what you feel, and do stick around for a drink and a chat afterwards to pick up a few new film recommendations and hear about what we have planned next.
