Grab your broomstick (or paddleboard!) and join us at Chatfield State Park for a magical day on the water. We'll be dressed in our best witchy attire as we paddle alongside hundreds of fellow witches for this spooktacular event!

I attended the 2025 Witch Paddle, where participants set a Guinness World Record for attendance, and it was an absolute blast. The costumes, camaraderie, and fun atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience.

This event sold out last year, so if you'd like to join the coven, be sure to register as soon as possible. Please do not RSVP for this meetup until you have completed your event registration.

Tickets to the public opened on June 10th.

The launch kicks off at 9:00am, but we'll arrive at 7:00a to pick up our packets, enjoy some snacks and witches brew. We'll share a list of what everyone is bringing before the event.

Colorado’s most magical paddle event is back!

Join us October 17, 2026 at Chatfield State Park for a women-led community tradition supporting child safety, family healing, and Sacred Sisterhood Collective.

About Witch Paddle

Witch Paddle is Colorado’s most magical morning on the water.
Each fall, hundreds of witches, warlocks, paddleboarders, kayakers, and magical misfits gather at Chatfield State Park for a sunrise paddle filled with costumes, creativity, community, and a little bit of chaos in the best possible way.
What started as a small group of witches on paddleboards has grown into a sold-out community tradition with hundreds of participants, spectators, vendors, volunteers, and supporters.
But Witch Paddle is more than a photo-worthy Halloween event.
It is a women-led gathering rooted in connection, play, giving back, and creating something meaningful together.

Our Story

Witch Paddle was founded by Anna Marie Madai as a creative way to bring people together on the water.
The idea was simple: gather before sunrise, dress like witches, launch together, and make a little magic.
Over the years, the event has grown into one of Colorado’s most unique fall traditions. Participants come for the costumes and the paddle, but they return for the energy, the community, and the feeling of being part of something special.
