I had intended this route in reverse, so that you descend the Stoneymollan route and see the lovely trees and leaves. It is an avenue of trees; however, as I can't go and Dan is going to organise it, it is probably best to stick to the Walk Highlands route:
https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/balloch-helensburgh.shtml

This is a linear walk, not a circular route, so if you leave your car in Balloch then you'll need to get public transport back to your car.

The Three Lochs Way links Loch Lomond, Gare Loch and Loch Long and was developed by the Helensburgh and District Access Trust. This first section joins Balloch at the southern end of Loch Lomond with the leafy town of Helensburgh and shares much of the route with the John Muir Way. The route climbs steeply with good views before heading up through forestry and descending over moorland with sea views.

Summary
Start Balloch rail station (there is some car parking available here or on the street)
Walk ends in Helensburgh
Trains or buses serve both Balloch and Helensburgh (use Helensburgh Upper Station) and there are trains between the two (changing at Dumbarton). The other option would be to leave a car or two in Helensburgh)

Distance 12.8km / 8 miles
Time 3.5 - 4.5 hours
Ascent 330m

Both Balloch and Helensburgh have good coffee shops for afterwards.

Terrain
Paths, minor road, open moorland, main road with pavement.

SUITABILITY/PARTICIPATION STATEMENT
You are responsible for deciding if this event is suitable for you, coming adequately prepared and looking after yourself on the walk. If there's any questions about suitability, please contact the organiser.
The Scottish Hillwalking and Activities Group recognises that hill walking, scrambling and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

PACE
We will walk as a group at an easy to moderate pace.

CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
Although the weather might look lovely and sunny, please ensure that you come adequately prepared for this walk, with, at a minimum, boots and waterproofs.

WEATHER FORECAST
Please make sure you check the weather forecast before you come:
Please remember to check the website the night before the walk - if the weather forecast is very bad we may change or cancel the walk, or move it to a different day.

LIFTS/MEETUP TIME
I've set the walk start time at 10am but still have to work out what time the bus gets there. Parking-wise, there are a few options, including a car park.

RSVPs
Yes: You intend to come and will turn up.
If you can't make it, change your RSVP to NO to allow someone else to take your place.
Do ensure you give adequate warning if you decide not to come on the walk.

GROUP ETHOS
Please remember the organiser is not the leader of the walk - we walk AS A GROUP. If you don't like the sound of that, perhaps this walk is not for you :-)
