Kayack Deerfield Island

We’ll launch from the Sullivan Park kayak launch dock and spend about two hours exploring the waterways around Deerfield Island and the surrounding Intracoastal area. It is about a 10 or so minute paddle to the island and then we can explore the mangroves.From a safety prospective I have a comprehensive medkit, ice packs, hydration solution and the basis should any issue arrise. 📍 Launch Location: Sullivan Park Kayak Launch Dock 1701 Riverview Road Deerfield Beach, FL 33441 🕜 Launch: 1:30 PM 🕞 Return: 3:30 PM ⏱️ On the water: 2 hours 🛶 Kayak Rental Kayaks will be rented through Easton Watersports. Single kayak: $40 for 2 hours Double/tandem kayak: $70 for 2 hours The rental payment will need to be made upfront. Once I have an exact headcount and know how many singles/tandems we need, I’ll collect payment via Zelle. Easton Watersports – Kayak Rentals You can also bring your own should you have one and launch from the dock at sullivan park. ☀️ What to Bring Please bring: Plenty of water 💧 Sunscreen 🧴 Hat 🧢 Sunglasses 😎 Comfortable clothes/swimwear that can get wet Waterproof protection for anything you don't want getting wet I’ll have a large waterproof bag available for keys and other small items, but I recommend bringing as little as possible. 💪 Know Your Fitness Level This is a 2-hour paddle, although we’ll have breaks along the way. Please make sure you're comfortable with being on the water and paddling for an extended period. You don't need to be an experienced kayaker, but you should be reasonably comfortable with the physical demands of a two-hour outing. It takes 10 or so minutes to get to the island and then will be doing a nice leisurely kayak through the mangrove channels. ⚠️ PLEASE RSVP CAREFULLY Only RSVP if you are reasonably confident you can attend. Because the kayaks have to be reserved and paid for ahead of time, last-minute cancellations/no-shows can leave me responsible for rental costs. once I finish training two clients.
