Winter at Gilbert Riparian Preserve

Join us for our Winter visit to the Gilbert Riparian Preserve!

This is a relaxed bird outing is designed for all experience levels. We’ll begin at the Dino Dig / Dragonfly Ramada, gently venture our way toward the back ponds, moving at a flexible pace based on the group’s interests.

Hard-packed gravel surfaces throughout
Approximately 1.2–1.8 miles total, with plenty of stopping
Restrooms available at the start and about halfway through
Extra binoculars and monoculars will be available to borrow
Don't forget to bring water and wear comfortable clothes with sun protection.
