Newbury Symphony Orchestra: Candlelit Christmas Concert

Join the Berkshire Walkers Social Secretary as they play with the Newbury Symphony Orchestra in their inaugural Candlelit Christmas Concert! Currently in their 148th season, the NSO is one of the oldest amateur orchestras in the country, where they have several concerts a year for the Newbury community at st Nicolas’ Church. For this concert, they’ll be playing a mix of timeless classics as well as a mix of more modern renditions of Christmas music.

The repertoire will be as follows:

Christmas At the Movies.
Extracts from the Corelli Christmas Concerto.
Christmas Festival.
Christmas Sarajevo.
12 days of Christmas.
Nutcracker Suite.
Once in Royal David.
Night Before Christmas with narrator.
Sleigh Ride.
We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

This concert will also be raising money for the local charity Swings & Smiles, who provide play, support and respite for children with special educational needs across the Newbury and Thatcham area. All donations will go directly to support their work.
