In the Footsteps of Van Gogh: Auvers-sur-Oise & the Oise Valley

Join our event for a scenic countryside walk where art, history, and nature meet just outside Paris and explore the landscapes that inspired Vincent van Gogh. We’ll walk through the Oise Valley, and explore picturesque villages, rolling countryside, forests, and open fields while following paths connected to the world of one of history's most celebrated artists. Along the route, we'll see several important landmarks associated with Van Gogh's time in Auvers-sur-Oise, including the Château d'Auvers and the Maison de Van Gogh. Expect beautiful scenery, fascinating history, good conversations, and an international group of outdoor enthusiasts. 📍Meeting Point Gare de Pontoise (in front of the station) Sunday, September 27 - 10:00 AM 🚆 Getting There from Paris (Accessible with Navigo pass) Train H (from Gare du Nord) I will provide the exact train a few weeks before the event. 🎯Ending Point Gare de Valmondois Expected finish: 16:00 🚆 Train back to Paris Train H 📏Hike Details Distance: ~16km Elevation gain: +200 m Duration: ~6h (including stops and lunch) Difficulty: Easy (steady pace – around 4.5 km/h). Relaxed and social, with regular stops Lunch: We’ll stop for lunch where we find a nice place, so please bring your own food and water. Language: English – ideal for expats and anglophones living in or visiting Paris. ⚠️ Important You are responsible for your own actions and decisions during the hike. This is a social hiking event rather than a guided museum visit.
