Ghost & Legends Tour - Los Rios Street

Come and visit San Juan Capistrano and participate in the SJC Historical Society’s annual Ghosts & Legends event. Enjoy a tour of the historical Los Rios District - California's oldest residential neighborhood.
You will stroll under the canopy of century-old pepper trees, listening to actors and storytellers share chilling, localized tales of restless spirits and folklore. The lineup of ghostly figures will include local legends like Judge Egan, Madam Modjeska, Modesta Avila, Joaquin Murietta, The Lady in White, and La Llorona.

This event sells out every year so get your tickets early.

Both Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the event, with proceeds benefiting the SJC Historical Society.

We will plan to meet at 5:00 for dinner at Sundried Tomato before our tour. Please sign up on the separate dinner event if you want to come to dinner beforehand.

Parking options:
There is a nearby parking structure at 26701 Verdugo Street, San Juan Capistrano (Verdugo & Camino Capistrano) with $2/hour parking. The SJC Historical Society is just across the train tracks from the parking structure.
There is also an unpaved Ramos Street parking lot at 26587 Ramos St, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 that often has free parking and would be a 5 min walk to Los Rios Street. See parking lot map in photos.

The train station is nearby so you can take the train if you don't want to drive.

Tickets are $14 each way for unreserved coach ticket, $24 business class.
Seniors age 65 and older get a 10% discount.

Train 580 leaves Anaheim (ANA) at 3.49 and arrives SNC station at 4:24.
Train 782 leaves Anaheim (ANA) at 4:49 and arrives SNC station at 5:24.
Train 584 leaves Anaheim (ANA) at 5:49 and arrives SNC station at 6:24.
(The trains also stop at the Santa Ana and Irvine stations in between so you can also take the train from Santa Ana or Irvine.)

Return trains:
Train 591 leaves SNA station at 8:37 and arrives Anaheim (ANA) at 9:11.
Train 593 leaves SNA station at 9:37 and arrives Anaheim (ANA) at 10:11.

If you miss the 8:37 train, you can get on the 9:37 train if you buy an unreserved coach ticket.
The Pacific Surfliner offers unreserved coach seating, which provides maximum flexibility when deciding on your travel times. Unreserved coach tickets allow you to take an earlier or later train without having to make a change to the reservation.
Seating in coach class on unreserved trains is not guaranteed.

NO SHOW POLICY:
Members who RSVP "Yes" for an event need to change their RSVP to "No" if their plans change and they cannot attend the event at least 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel within less than 24 hours, please contact the host with an explanation.
\\Member who has 3 no shows, cancel on the same day, or "no show" without an explanation will be removed from the group. \
