The 511m hill Stronend, from Fintry Sports centre. An easy stroll to start to Culcreuch Castle, then a path till about 2/3 of the way up. It's a steeper and rough, pathless walk for a bit but that's a nice wee challenge? 🏔 Finally, there's a good path along to the summit. Stronend, a 'Marilyn' is more commonly walked from the north but it has more character from Fintry. Great views to Fintry, flanders moss, carse of stirling and balglass corrie. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a short lead near farmhouse (chickens running free!). Meet at Fintry Sports & Recreation club on kippen road; https://maps.app.goo.gl/UcrbnYDqzKTijVZ76 We can enjoy a coffee or so at the Sports club after the walk. For any queries on the day i'm on 07901 987769. TERRAIN Mixture of good and feinter paths, pathless and steep for a short while winding through terraces/crags towards summit, we return same way.
